A VIRTUOUS WOMAN SISTER JANIE MAE DAVIS WALKER on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Hospice of West Alabama.
Sister Walker believed in hard work and for 25 years she worked for Children's Rebalitation Center where she retired in 1998. She was a devout businesswoman who loved working with people. She was owner of Cahaba Memorial Funeral Chapel, Inc, Brent, AL and Agnew Funeral Home, Greensboro, AL. After working for 25 years, she decided to later go back to school to get her bachelor's degree at Liberty University and received a bachelor's degree in Religion. She read her Bible daily and often shared her knowledge of God's goodness with relatives and friends.
To cherish fond memories are one loving and devoted son, Rodney (Tiffini) Walker; on loving and devoted daughter, Tiffany M. Walker; four adorable grandchildren, Rodney Walker Jr., Arieana Walker, Aiyana Walker, and Ke'Darius Chism; great grandchild, Ava Dior; four sister Emma Nickerson, Delois (Gerald) Brown, Doris (Luke) Thames, and Mary Threatt; one brother Jessie Davis Jr, one sister-n-law Mary Jones, six brother-n-laws, Bobby (Annie) Cooper, Larry Steward, Reverend Walter Walker, Reverend Herman (Mary) Walker, Foris (Patrice) Walker, and Anthony Walker. A Number of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Two special daughters Kimberly Nalls and Jameka (Patrick) Caffie.
FUNERAL SERVICES: will be Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. New Zion Baptist Church Northport, Alabama. Pastor Officiating Reverend Gregory Morris, Pastor
PUBLIC VIEWING: Will be Friday, May 31, 2019 at Cahaba Memorial Funeral Chapel at 8:00 a.m. 11:00 a.m.
From 1:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. Viewing will be held at New Zion Baptist Church in Northport Alabama
BURIAL: Cedar Oak Memorial Garden, Tuscaloosa, Alabama
