She was born on July 9, 1959, to Josh and Roberta Cullpepper in Beloit, Alabama, where she was the youngest of nine children. Roberta’s life was one of love, dedication, and a spirit that touched the lives of all who knew her. As a young girl, Roberta attended Faucett Elementary School, Bibb County Junior High and went on to graduate early from Senior High School. She loved school and later pursued further education at Shelton Technical College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where she earned her technical certificate in Offset Duplications. She worked in this field for several years, contributing her skills and dedication to various businesses in Alabama. On November 7, 1975, Roberta became the proud mother of her only child, Demitrius Lonnell Cullpepper, whom she loved immeasurably with all her heart. Roberta's love for her son was evident in everything she did, and she was always there to offer support, encouragement, and a listening ear. She along with her son later moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana, for a short time to be with family, always cherishing the time spent with loved ones near and far. Roberta had a deep love for music and used her beautiful voice to praise the Lord as a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, where she also worked in several church activities. She found joy in singing, clothes, good food, and the opportunity to travel when possible, always eager to spend time with family and friends. Her warm smile and infectious laughter will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Roberta is survived by her beloved son, Demitrius Lonnell Cullpepper; her two grandsons, Demitrius Joshua Cullpepper and Dashawn Dewayne Cullpepper of Detroit, MI; her sister, Hattie Matthews of Fort Wayne, IN; her brothers, Jack Cullpepper of Fort Wayne, IN, and Charles Cullpepper (Gloria) of Los Angeles, CA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were like family. You will be deeply missed ️❤️
