OBITUARY
II Timothy 4:7 “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”
Raymond Burrell was born the sixth child to his loving parents Steven Sr., and Hattie Mae Burrell, on February 23, 1954. He confessed Christ at an early age and became a member of Roosevelt City Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama. He later moved to Brent, Alabama, where he joined Haysop Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend Samuel Jones.
The Lord called Raymond home on February 23, 2020, at UAB Medical West Bessemer, Alabama, at 9:00 PM. He loved spending time with family and friends. He also loved his music and old country westerns.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Steven Sr., and Hattie Mae Burrell, and his loving brother, Steven Burrell, Jr.
He leaves his memories to be cherished by: his four sisters, Viola Croom of Birmingham, AL, Laura Chism of Brent, AL, Sandra Walker of Brent, AL, and Wyteria (King) Underwood of Centreville, AL; one uncle, Nathaniel (Tommy L.) Rembert of Bessemer, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Raymond (Rainbow) Burrell will truly be missed by everyone, but God loves him best.
