CAHABA MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL: Announce with deepest sympathy the passing of Mrs. Lorine Jackson on November 2, 2024.
LORINE'S LIFE STORY: Lorine “Jackie” Jackson was born February 29, 1960, in Brent, Alabama. She was the third youngest of seven children born to Jemison Walker, Sr., and Lena Mae Conethan Walker. Lorine was a long-time member of Antioch Baptist Church. She was an active, devoted member who loved her church, and her presence was always felt. She was employed at Bibb Medical Center for over 30 years, where she was respected for her dedication and strong work ethic. Her colleagues remember her as a compassionate team member and a mentor to many. Her gentle spirit and unwavering faith touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Lorine Jackson was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend who brought warmth and joy to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father, Jemison Walker, Sr., and her brother, Christopher James Walker. She leaves to cherish her memories: a loving mother, Lena Mae Walker; a loving and devoted daughter, Kamesha Jackson; a loving son, Elshadric (Linickco) Jackson Sr; four grandchildren, Chloe Womack, Akasha Jackson, Elshadric Jackson, Jr., and Kobe Jackson; two step-grandchildren, Germarian Moton and Keaiden Peoples; a special companion, Ronnie Kornegay; four sisters, Sarah Scott, JoAnn (Luther) Craighead, Carolyn (Cedric) Haynes, and Beatrina (Eric) Page; two brothers, Jemison Walker, Jr. and Bobby Charles Walker; one uncle, David Lee (Ethelstein) Conethan; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. Lorine’s kindness, wisdom, and laughter touched the lives of everyone she met, and her memory will forever remain in our hearts.
