CAHABA MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL: Announce with deepest sympathy the passing of Lillie Cash on Saturday, July 19, 2025.
LILLIE'S CASH LIFE STORY: Lillie Marie Stabler was born to the late, Mr. Joe Stabler and Jernetter Kidd Stabler on February 11, 1955, in Brent, AL.
Affectionately known as "The Sunshine Lady" she truly lived out the meaning to the words of the song. She had a smile so bright and it was the light that she carried and others saw. She touched many lives by the way she lived and served throughout her life. In 1971, she married Willie Cash and to this Union three kids were born Elissa, Michael and Jennifer. All her life she has been a hardworking and dedicated person. She began her working years as a teenager at ND Cass and later moved to Cahaba Veneer. As the years progressed she began her career as a seamstress at Health -Tex for 24 years, until she had to resign to take care of her parents, after which she became a private care giver in 1993. She carried that smile and light throughout so many homes in Bibb, Tuscaloosa, Jefferson, Shelby and Chilton County.
Everybody loved Mrs. Lillie!
She was preceded in death by: her parents; four brothers, Joe Jr., Jesse James, Earmune Lee and Willie Lee Stabler; two sisters, Mary Ann Driver, Annie Maxine Goode; and a very loving nephew, Terry Craighead, whom she took in as her own.
Having a heart of gold and a life of love, she affectionately cared for so many people that we couldn't dare take the time and name them all, because it has been shown through all the love that we've endured through this process.
Lillie was a resilient lady, who was well loved and respected.
