Jimmy Williams passed away recently in Oakland, California.  He was born in Perry County, Alabama to the late Jimmy Williams, Sr. and Minnie Mae Tubbs-Williams. He confessed Christ at in 1968 and was baptized at Hopewell AME Zion Church, Brent, AL. Throughout his adult lift he remained devoted to his Christian upbringing. In 1977 he graduated from Bibb County High School and immediately enlisted in the Army National Guard. Jimmy was known for being a hardworking, ethical man, and for taking pride in providing for his families both near and far.  He was the glue that held the family together. His caring spirit and laughter was contagious to all that was blessed by his presence. 

Jimmy leaves a legacy of fond memories to be cherished by his beloved mother Minnie Mae Tubbs-Williams; a devoted wife Sybil Williams, one son Jamaal (Kerri) Williams,three daughters Janel Williams, Jalisa Williams and Chloe Williams.  Three step-sons Cory, Cameron, and Calop.  His siblings: Annie Jean (Andre) Miles, Bettie Jean Williams-Smack, Mary Joyce Tillman, Stephanie Carol (Ralph) Moore, Robert Clayton Williams, Robert Thomas Williams, Joseph Allen Williams, Terry Bernard (Sheree) Williams.  Grandchildren: Jared, Janise, Braxton, Layla, Comora, Isaiah. Many other cousins, nieces nephews, aunts,uncles and friends.

SERVICES: Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 12:00 Noon at River of Life Church.  Burial in Hopewell Cemetery.
