Jimmy Dean "JD" Sanders passed away March 23, 2016 at his residence.  He was born to Irene Lardell and Earnest Sanders in Brent, AL.  Jimmy confessed Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. Upon moving to New York he became a deacon at the Manhattan Baptist Church. Jimmy lived a long time in New York and worked for New York City Transit Authority as a bus operator.  After retirement, in 2005, he returnd to Alabama.

Jimmy leaves to cherish his memories his devoted and loving wife, Velma Sanders. Daughters: Sherry Sanders, Valarie (Tony) Holifield Burton, Vanessa Sanders. Sons: Ronnie (Brenda) Sanders, Donnie (Angela) Sanders, Gregory Holifield, Kenny (Natasha) Holifield and Leotis Sanders. Step Children: Patricia McNeal, Henry McNeal, Arlean Grafton.  Sisters: Sarah (Frank) West, Sally Sanders, Ernestine Cleveland, Susie Dean (John) Frierson and Brothers: Eddie (Sylvia) Lardell, Allen (Tammy) Lardell, James Lardell, Danny (Patricia) Shepherd. A host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

SERVICES: Saturday, April 2, 2016 11:00 a. m. at Mount Tabor Baptist Church, Brent, AL.  Burial: Perkins Cemetery.
