CAHABA MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL: Announce with deepest sympathy the passing of Mrs. Ellie Underwood.

HER STORY

Mrs. Ellie Underwood was born on March 24, 1940, to the late Geraldine Harwick and Pat Conwell. Mrs. Ellie entered eternal rest on March 29, 2024, at her place of residence. She was preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine Hardwick; father, Pat Conwell; husband, Robert Underwood, Sr.; two daughters, Marry Ann Underwood and Shirley Mae Underwood; and one brother, Jessie Charles Stone. She confessed her life to Christ at an early age and joined the Mt. Ebell Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Brown. Ellie leaves to cherish her precious memories to her two daughters, Barbara Underwood and Cassandra Underwood; five sons, Larry Conwell, Dennis Underwood, Robert Underwood, Jr., Steven (Cynthia) Underwood, and Don Underwood, all of Brent, AL; three brothers, Robert Lee (Jenny) Stone of Evansville, IN, Willie (Marlyce) Stone of Evansville, IN, and Percy Stone of Brent, AL; she also had sixteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends, including special friends, Nancy James, Glenda Carter, Darlene Black, and Ruth Dailey.

She also was the mother of her four grandkids, April Conwell, Larry Conwell, Harry Taylor, and Matthew Taylor.

VISITATION: Will be held on Friday, March 5, 2024 at Cahaba Memorial Funeral Chapel at 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM

FUNERAL SERVICES:  Will be held at Mt. Ebell Missionary Baptist Church 51 Kings Place Brent, AL 35034, at 2:00 PM, On Sunday, March 7, 2024, Pastor Gregory Dumas, Officiating
